ASHLEY COLE: PULISIC IS A TOP TALENT AT CHELSEA

Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has heaped praise on Christian Pulisic and has hailed the United States Men’s National Team star as a special talent ahead of the UEFA Champions League final clash between Chelsea and Manchester City later in May. The winger did not really make much of an impact under Thomas Tuchel this season and had to battle for form, consistency, and against injuries in a campaign that saw him restricted to only a few game time at Stamford Bridge, but he will be hoping to have a better campaign next season.

Pulisic is one of the best players at Chelsea and already has a lot of quality that also makes him one of the finest attackers in the English Premier League but he has had to be restricted from showing his full potential with the Blues since sealing his switch to England from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund some years ago.

And Cole, a Chelsea legend, has now revealed that the eccentric forward is a huge talent and that he will also make it big at Chelsea. Speaking on Sky Sport, Cole said that Chelsea have an array of attacking talents and Pulisic is one of the best they have in that position. The former England international star said that Chelsea have a huge chance against Manchester City on the 29th of May and their chance would be facilitated by the form of their attacking players, including Pulisic.

It is yet to be known if Pulisic will have a role to play in the final of the Champions League later this month but if he is selected , he could be one of the most influential Chelsea players on the pitch and could also play a role in hurting Manchester City where it would hurt them the most with his direct attacking flair.

ASHLEY COLE: CHELSEA’S FINAL LOSS HEARTBREAKING

Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans broke the hearts of watching Chelsea fans across the world as the midfielder’s long-range strike in the second half of their FA Cup final clash was enough for the Foxes to win the title on Saturday. The Blues and the Foxes locked horns at Wembley on Saturday evening after finding their way to the final of the competition, but it was the King Power Stadium outfit that had the last laugh after the final whistle was blown.

The two teams had a tight game in the first half and no one could find the breakthrough even though there were a couple of chances from both ends. Both goalkeepers from the two clubs were forced to make crucial saves during the match but it was Peter Schmeichel who was more instrumental between the two goalies.

The victory saw Leicester claim their first-ever FA Cup title but it was a sorry evening for the Blues given that they were the better side after keeping more possession of the ball and registering more attempts and more shits on target.

According to former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole, the loss was a heartbreaking one and it could affect the mood of the players ahead of their UEFA Champions League final against Premier League champions Manchester City on the 29th of May.

Cole said that he watched the FA Cup final on Saturday and was impressed with how most of the Chelsea players showed comportment and zeal to win the match , but they were unfortunate to not have had the victory. The former English defender also added that while the loss would still be fresh in their memory, they must dust their backs and head into the final on the 29th with their heads held very high so they can maintain a positive attitude against Pep Guardiola’s men in the crunch final.

ASHLEY COLE: CHELSEA SHOULD SIGN HAALAND

Former Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has advised the Blues to break the bank and do everything they can to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland this summer, even though he concedes that he knows how hard it will be to try and convince Dortmund to sell. The German Bundesliga giants have reiterated their long-standing desire to keep hold of the 20-year-old striker, insisting that they do not want to sell him this summer, but that could be hard for them as well.

Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, has reportedly asked the club to allow his client leave in this summer transfer window if any team activates his release clause (of around £70m – £100m) or they could risk losing him on a free transfer to direct rivals Bayern Munich next summer if they do not sell him in this coming transfer window.

Raiola has made his intention public that he would like to get another club for Haaland, and has already held talks with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona in the last few days so he can find the best club for his client. Other clubs that have been linked with Haaland are Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea. However, Barcelona and Real Madrid are the Teo major clubs that have shown the strongest of interest in signing the Norwegian starlet.

However, Ashley Cole believes that regardless of how much interest Barcelona and Real Madrid have shown, if Chelsea can play their cards right and do well to convince Raiola, they can get the deal over the line in the summer. Cole believes Chelsea should sign Haaland so they can allow Tammy Abraham to leave the club and also partner the young striker upfront with Timo Werner ahead of next season when they will be looking to challenge for titles.
