ASHLEY COLE’S EPIC CLAP-BACK AT SPURS FAN
Ashley Cole clapped back at a Tottenham Hotspur fan after the game between Chelsea and Spurs over the weekend.
The Major League Soccer star proved that his allegiance was still with the Blues. The former Three Lions star was rooting for a Chelsea victory and the Blues won a Spurs fans took a swipe at Cole, and he returned the favour brutally.
Cole felt his 17 years experience in the Premier League qualified him to critique defenders, and after a few tweets that had an underground support for Chelsea, the Spurs fan attacked Cole.
“Tottenham missed Danny Rose today attacking threat down the left would have like the battle vs Moses #CHETOT,” the Los Angeles defender posted on his Twitter page, adding a geeky smiling emoticon.
Danny Rose missed the game as he was suspended. The Spurs fan tweeting from @Charley_T11 posted: “Thought you were dead tbh.”
Cole brutally, yet simply clapped back posting:
“Like your title hopes,” adding emojis. The response got several likes and many favourited the tweet. Cole’s comments, while just a response to a trolling fan, could mean he does not see Spurs winning the league this term.
Chelsea’s victory meant Spurs lost their first game of the Premier League season, but the team has struggled to score goals this season despite their impressive defensive record.
Cole himself remains one of the most brilliant defenders in the Premier League, spending eight years at Chelsea, after years at Arsenal, before moving to Roma in 2014.
Rose was unhappy with the suspension as he received the card in the game against West Ham.
“It was just a stupid foul that I have committed against West Ham. I’m kicking myself because it was so unnecessary and yeah, that [Chelsea fixture] was the first fixture I looked out for in the summer and I am gutted that I am going to miss it,” Rose said.
