Cole wants Wenger as England boss

Former Arsenal player Ashley Cole has stated that Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger should be the next England manager.


The player who is currently playing for MLS club LA Galaxy says that Arsene Wenger will be the best manager for England. Indeed the FA is now looking for a replacement for Roy Hodgson, who has resigned from his post following the poor campaign at the Euros.

Ashley Cole said that the question now for the FA would be to decide whether to go for an England manager or a foreign one. For him, the best decision will be to go for Arsene Wenger. Cole believes that the French manager knows how to manage young players, has a good knowledge of football and also know how to win games. For him, this is the best candidate at the moment for the England team.


MLS DISCIPLINARY COMMITTEE FINES ASHLEY COLE

The disciplinary committee of the Major League Soccer has fined Ashley Cole for not leaving the pitch in time after seeing a red card in the game against San Jose which ended in a 1-1 draw.


Cole had received two yellow cards in a minute in the game which summed up to his sending off but he failed to leave on time provoking punishment from the committee.

COLE FOURTH IN MLS FAN VOTING

Former Arsenal and Chelsea star, Ashley Cole placed fourth in the MLS All Star Game Fan Voting. The talented defender joined the Major League Soccer this year after completing his move to the United States from AS Roma.

The former Three Lions defender left Stamford Bridge for Italy on a free transfer in 2014, struggled in Italy, but has found form in the US, ranking amongst the top talents in the league.

The defender was given two yellow cards in the space of 32 seconds to receive his marching orders. Cole joined the MLS outfit in the summer after his contract with Italian outfit Roma was terminated by mutual consent. He was seen as a major move by LA Galaxy to strengthen the squad even further.

Ashley Cole made his MLS debut for LA Galaxy in the 4-1 win over DC United.

The former Chelsea star moved to the MLS after having released from Roma. His time with the Italian club can be forgotten quickly after he made only a few appearances before being relegated to the bench by Rudy Garcia. Despite being a Champions League winner with Chelsea, Roma did not see him as a valuable member of the team. This is likely to be the opposite of this stature at LA Galaxy. There was a point in time when Ashley Cole was considered to be the best left-back in the world of football.

It was during the playing time that Cole spent with Chelsea from 2006-2014 where the English defender managed to stand out and help the Premier League in lifting a number of big titles such as: Premier League, Europa League, Champions League and FA Cup are just a few of the pieces of silverware that he sealed with Chelsea.

When Ashley Cole’s contract with Chelsea reached it’s end, he went off to join the Italian side AS Roma, although according to transferrumours.co.uk he could have gone to any one of 20 clubs across Europe who wanted him.

After having spent the last 18 months at Italian outfit Roma, Cole has decided to take the route of many top players towards the end of their careers.
